This was the first production that we opened during our summerstock season, and it was a great production for me to learn how I needed to operate within the company. With a cast of 6 and deck and rail crew of 4, this was a manageable yet fun show, where I could focus my efforts to make sure the show operated cleanly and at peak efficiency.
While it was a notably smaller show than the other two we produced this season, it was not boring. We had many flyrail elements which needed to time out very specifically for safety. The band was also onstage, and I cued two costumed crew members multiple times to move the piano’s position.
