About

Hello! My name is PJ, and I am a current 3rd year student at Penn State University studying both Lighting Design and Stage Management. I am driven, eager to learn, and I care deeply about the art of theatre.

To me, one of the biggest joys of working in theatre is the ability to connect and collaborate with so many people. This collaboration is what drives me to excel on every production I work on. I love being able to learn about new people, or to work with close friends who I really understand. I care deeply about making sure that everyone on a production is able to feel proud of the work they have done, and I firmly believe that everyone should always seek learning opportunities.

Some of my proudest work as an Assistant Stage Manager so far has been my credit on The Morris & Essex Line, a new musical produced by Penn State Centre Stage, as well as the work I did at Peach State Summer Theatre for their 2025 rotating repertory season of A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline, Little Shop Of Horrors, and The Wizard Of Oz. My specialty as an ASM is properties, deck, and puppet work, but I am always looking to try new things!

As a Lighting Designer and Technician, some of the most fulfilling work I do comes from the world of sports and entertainment. I work at Penn State’s Beaver Stadium setting up and operating the lighting and special effects for the tunnel each game. My favorite work comes from the busking I am able to do at Eisenhower Auditorium, also on Penn State’s campus, where I can work with touring bands to see their visions come to life.
